Drum Roll Please…

There is NO time for small talk today people because….Drum Roll….. ALICE IS GETTING BAPTIZED!!!!! That’s right, you heard it here first, Alice will be baptized on June 20th, 2020β€”as soon as she possibly canβ€”just a few short weeks after her wedding!! Yes, many, many tears were shed. Joyful tears. More on that later πŸ˜‰Β

Exchanges

This week we had the first District Council of the transfer down in Lancaster and straight afterwards we had exchanges with the Sisters in Lancaster. It was all soooo good. I absolutely love going south to Lancaster. It is such a beautiful area. I was with Sister Magdaraog this time and she is so sweet. I always learn so much from her. She recognized a mighty change in me from the beginning of my time here in Barrow vs where I am now. And let me tell you people, I agree! I feel like a completely different person than I was just a few short months ago, and it’s all for the best. Change and growth aren’t ever comfortable, but it is always necessary and God is able to build you up into a new person that you couldn’t have been otherwise. <<<<Get Real Segment #1.

Another important event this week was that Sister Sellick and I found a Burrito place. Did you hear me? In ENGLAND. A Burrito place. Okay in case you are daft, this is RAREEE. And trust me I have been craving a nice Chipotle burrito since the second I stepped off the plane so this moment was indeed momentous. It’s called Go Burrito. Imagine that πŸ™‚ It is in Lancaster England…they have an Instagram…look them up….give them a follow….let them know they are saving my life….& that they are delicious…..and that I am now in love :)) Β Β Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.Β

Sis. Sellick: 1 Year Celebration!

This week we met with a ton of our returning members. There are several here so the work is never sparse, which is so good.Β  We also were able to make two new friends this week, one from street contacting in town, and the other from tracting, woo woo!! We are excited to start meeting with them. On Thursday we also celebrated Sister Sellick’s one-year mark!!!! So crazy she’s been out that long. She says she can’t believe it. Time is so wild! One year–what a concept!Β

On Sunday it was actually super funny because it was basically the Sister Missionary Show in Sacrament meeting. They asked both Sister Sellick and me to speak and do a musical number. So it was super fun, but I’ve never had to speak and then sing immediately afterward. Only in Barrow! Oh how I sure love this place!Β  We both spoke about encouraging the members to live the gospel and to share it, which we are both naturally very passionate about. It was wonderful.

Alice ❀

Afterwards was the main event. Okay SO, we had a lesson with Alice and BilliJo and we taught them about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At the end of the lesson we both felt prompted to invite Alice to be baptized and so we did. The Spirit was so strong throughout the entire lesson and it all just felt so right. I had tears in my eyes as she responded with, “YES. A million times, Yes!” My heart overflowed with joy and gratitude and love. She is inspiring. I am left speechless as she shares with me her testimony and faith and love in our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have had a front row seat to witnessing someone’s conversion to the gospel of Jesus Christ. I feel so honored and privileged to be here and see the blessings and miracles that come from serving the Lord.Β

This is the Lord’s work, and it WORKS!!

It is hard work, but it WORKS!!

And it will bless generations and generations.

Keep sharing it with everyone around you.

The time is NOW.

Every week I read your posts and think: this is my favorite post ever. And then the next week’s post comes and THAT becomes my most favorite. Then next one and that next one, bcuz Cami! You keep out doing yourself. Or better said, the Lord keeps showering you with blessings and YOU stop to consider them, acknowledge them, and express gratitude. Wow. Just WOW. THANK YOU πŸ’œ

Amen Karlyn!! I thought I was the only one who thought that!! You just write what I think!
I just drink up every word and am like… man! She is just rocking it out there! I mean-yes it’s not easy… but she is just taking missionary life by storm and changing/blessing the lives of SO MANY… not just in Barrow! 😁
